SUCCESS STORY: Consultant Lands Part-time Gig on Monster Talent Market

"I put my profile on the Talent Market just to test it,"
administrative consultant Kimberly Jensky tells Monster.com reporter
Alyson Preston. After Jensky accepted an attractive bid, she realized
she "couldn't go out and get a part-time job and get anywhere near the
same hourly rate" she received as a free agent. Who contracted for
Jensky's services? Click on to get the whole story.

FREE AGENT GUIDE: Should You Charge by the Hour or Per Project?

To bill by the hour or to charge a flat project fee; that is the

HEARD ON THE BOARD: Wheelchair-bound Whiz Seeks Home-Based
Opportunities

Monster member HGM recently wrote: "I am an individual who has a mild
form of MD. Because of this, I use a wheelchair and I must work from a
home office. I know many languages (COBOL, RPG/400, Control Language,
BASIC, C, Visual C++), some operating systems (Windows 95/98, Unix,
OS/400), and a number of programs… Since I have an extensive college
record and have displayed that I can quickly learn a new concept, what
options do you suggest?"
